BiciLine Cycling Eco-Tourism Social Enterprise

History

Eco-tourism has become a hot topic in recent years. A lot of private and non-profit making organizations are holding different kinds of eco-tour activities, mainly on guided tours. BiciLine, a project aiming at training youngsters from Yuen Long district to become eco-tour guides by setting up a company, makes use of the natural ecology of Tin Shui Wai and the popularity of bicycles in the district as a selling point. Youngsters from Yuen Long district will provide different types of services, such as family activities set, lovers' romance set, etc., to both local and overseas tourists on numerous unique cycling routes in New Territories West. We hope to encourage capital flow from other districts to Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai, to boost consumption within the district, as well as directly providing training and employment opportunities for youngsters in the district.
