To offer immediate relief to victims in the blaze tragedy broken out in Mongkok this morning, the Board of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) has announced today to provide HK$ 30,000 and free funeral service to each family of the deceased through allocation from its “Tung Wah Emergency Relief Fund”.

In addition, TWGHs has through its food bank the “Food For All – Short-term Food Assistance Service” stationing in Yau Tsim Mong District Office and its “TWGHs Charitable Food Relief Fund” provided emergency food packs and infant formula milk powder to the affected individuals and families. Social workers of TWGHs will also provide counselling and household support services for the needy.

The Board of TWGHs conveys the deepest condolences to the victims and has instantly reached the Home Affairs Department to start verifying the identity of the applicants in order to provide relief most promptly.
