“Appreciation & Facilitation” Music Workshop

Rehabilitation service workers & teachers who have experiences or will implement musical activities (interest on music is a must; musical knowledge is not a must but desirable).

Trainer:

Mr. Makoto Nomura

A Japanese innovative and experimental composer as well as a community musician with rich experiences in working with deprived groups and people with different abilities; now having an artist-in-residency program in the rehabilitation complex of HK for 3 months running groups and programs for people with ASD, with intellectual disabilities, with physical & multiple disabilities as well as those with dementia.

 

Content: 


“Appreciation & Facilitation” Music Workshop I
- An introduction to very simple practical music theory for beginners (1)
- Simple musical games
- How to appreciate service users' participation in musical activities
- How to select suitable instruments
- How to get the better sounds from the same instruments
- How to play different instruments in workshop

 

“Appreciation & Facilitation” Music Workshop II
- An introduction to very simple practical music theory for beginners (2)
- Principles and ways of facilitation in music
- Different combinations of instruments for different groups
- How to use space to get better acoustic
- Easy methods of accompaniment with big group
- Easy methods of conducting big group
