In 2009, Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs) has started introducing the Dementia Screening Questionnaire for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (DSQIID), which was originally developed in Britain. The Chinese version of the questionnaire (DSQIID-CV) was subsequently translated and validated by TWGHs collaborating with the Psychiatric Unit for Learning Disabilities of Kwai Chung Hospital. It was found to be reliable and valid for local use. This questionnaire requires the answers from the care-givers of people with intellectual disabilities (ID). The questionnaire is used to screen for dementia among people with ID. This user manual consists of introduction, administration instructions, scoring method, reminders, and the questionnaires of traditional and simplified Chinese versions.
