Medical Mask Production Cleanroom

To tackle the shortage of surgical masks in the territory during the early stage of the epidemic outbreak, TWGHs converted part of the workshop in Jockey Club Ngai Chun Integrated Vocational Rehabilitation Centre into the “Medical Mask Production Cleanroom”, with the support of the Social Welfare Department. Apart from ensuring the long-term supply of surgical masks, it also provides vocational training and job opportunities for people with disabilities. The Medical Mask Production Cleanroom commenced full operation in July 2020. Up to April 2021, a total of 40 vocational training and job positions have been created, of which 30 (75%) were occupied by disabled persons.
