Introduction

In 2022, the Elderly Services Section launched the “Integrative Picture Book Intervention Project for Dementia” This initiative includes a series of cognitive training groups and carer support groups centered around picture book intervention. Additionally, we introduced a pioneering series of picture books designed specifically for elderly individuals with cognitive impairments, known as the "Granny Tung Series." These are not merely picture books but also training tools that provide cognitive exercises and help in cultivating memory and concentration. Moreover, they facilitate communication and resonance between the elderly and their carers.
