Introduction

Lok Ying Outreaching Allied Health Service has received funding from the HKJCCT for a three-year pilot project, running from October 2024 to September 2027, to promote a restraint-reduction care approach in 20 private elderly residential care homes in the Central and Western, Southern, and Islands districts. The project offers reflective workshops, staff training, financial support for equipment enhancements, and pilot restraint-reduction case management to help participating homes adopt and sustain the restraint-reduction approach and philosophy. The aim is to enhance care quality in private homes and improve residents’ autonomy and quality of life.

• Residents, carers and staff of 20 private elderly residential care homes located in Central and Western, Southern and Islands Districts
