Introduction

“Together we CARE for the Elderly and Caregivers” Project is designed to support caregivers of frail elderly aged 60 or above through the “Care Companion” service. Trained elder sitters will provide home-based and companionship-focused respite care, allowing caregivers to take short breaks and ease the stress of long-term caregiving.

At the same time, the project places special emphasis on hidden elderly, offering home visits and daily living support to improve their home environment, extend love and care, and enhance their quality of life.

Service Scope

• Elder Sitter Training: Delivered by qualified social workers and occupational therapists, the program equips participants with essential caregiving techniques, structured emotional support strategies, and practical crisis management skills. This comprehensive training ensures a solid foundation for effective and sustainable elder care.
• Support for Caregivers and Elderly: A range of respite services are provided, including center-based and home-based care, escort, and companionship. These services create valuable breathing space for caregivers, alleviating the stress of continuous caregiving responsibilities.
• Hidden Elderly Services:Financial assistance is available to procure necessary services and supplies for home cleaning, repairs, modifications, and pest control. This support helps improve living conditions and promotes a safer, healthier environment for hidden elderly individuals.
