Community Support Services

“Healthy Ageing” and “Ageing in Place” are the main concerns of our community support services. We encourage elders to develop healthy and balanced life, make good use of their leisure time, and participate actively in different activities to develop their potentials to the fullest. Besides, to actualize the concept of “Ageing in Place”, we provide home care services, nursing and rehabilitation services to assist the needy elders and their families living in the community. With 41 different types of community support services centres, we strive to provide a wide spectrum of quality services to our elders.

Residential Services

"Holistic Care" and "Continuum of Care" are the key focus of our residential care services. Through different types of residential care service which run by our 25 elderly homes and multi-disciplinary staff teams, we provide quality and comprehensive care and rehabilitation services to those elders in need to enable them to enjoy their old age.

「健盈動」HURRY Up啟動禮
結合先進HUR健體器材 創造運動新體驗

東華三院於3月15日舉行「健盈動」HURRY Up啟動禮,邀得社會福利署助理署長(安老服務)陳德義先生和本院馬清揚主席擔任主禮嘉賓,並聯同善長紀研設計有限 公司陳先生Andy Chan一同主持啟動儀式。

典禮當日,受惠長者透過服務短片向嘉賓介紹健體計劃及分享用家心得,義工現場表演活力尊巴舞(Zumba Dance),並答謝善長的慷慨資助,為整個啟動禮揭開序幕。一眾嘉賓隨後參觀「盈動匯」中心簇新的健體器材室,由專業運動助理講解如何透過持續運動,配合醫療復康科技,為長者訂立復康與預防疾病並重的運動計劃。參觀者對於中心以「身、心、社、靈」介入手法,全面關顧長者的健康發展甚為欣賞,亦深信多元化的服務定能協助長者建立健康生活模式,從而達至「康健頤年,居家安老」的果效。

東華三院感謝善長Andy Chan早於2019年,慨慷捐贈港幣90萬元予本院胡其廉長者鄰舍中心,  由芬蘭引進8部HUR 專業健體復康器材,設置於中心「健毅館」內供長者使用,並成為東華三院屬下首間以HUR為本並以復康模式運作的新試點。善長Andy再於2022年慷慨捐贈港幣100萬元予本院方潤華長者鄰舍中心設立「盈動匯」,添置3部HUR健體器材及身體分析儀,       為中心會員進行健康評估,度身訂立個人化的運動計劃,大大提升長者健康意識。善長Andy更   親自設計「盈動匯」及贊助港幣150萬元的工程費用,為長者塑造一個時尚與舒適兼備的  運動環境,同時吸引不少沙田區的退休人士到訪中心,積極使用樂齡科技,培養運動的好習慣。

「健毅館」及「盈動匯」先後成立,實為東華三院長者社區支援服務奠下重要里程碑。長者步入中心,除了社區支援服務外,亦可接觸先進的運動器械、體驗多元健康評估、參與新興運動班,並輔以由註冊營養師或護士主責的健康管理小組,以及推廣精神 健康的活動,身心得以全面關顧。

東華三院主席馬清揚先生在致辭時表示,中心除了提供運動配套設施外,亦與沙田 地區康健站緊密合作,攜手向退休人士及長者推廣健康教育,達到「預防勝於治療」的目的。馬清揚主席並感謝社會福利署及善長Andy Chan多年來的支持,協助該院將長者社區支援服務力臻完善,實現「社區安老」的理念。

社會福利署助理署長(安老服務)陳德義先生則指出,政府將撥款一億一千萬元於長者中心發展預備退休生活安排及推動樂齡科技的工作,從而促進積極樂頤年的健康退休生活態度。除了政府於長者政策上的發展,善長的慷慨解囊,配以東華三院的起動能力,以及正好展現出「官、商、民」攜手合作的力量,推動香港成為一個快樂、豐盛、和諧的社會。

東華三院自1870年成立以來,一直秉承「救病拯危、安老復康、興學育才、扶幼導青」的使命和承諾,時至今日,已發展成為全港歷史最悠久及規模最大的慈善服務機構。在過去逾百五年,東華三院在醫療、教育、社會、歷史文化保育及公共服務方面均有長足發展,迎合社會需求,為市民提供收費低廉或免費的優質服務。現時東華三院共有357個服務單位,包括5間醫院、37個中西醫療衞生服務單位、60個教育服務單位、229個安老、青少年及家庭、復康及社會企業/創新的社會服務單位,兩個肩負守護和保育本地歷史文化重任的服務單位,分別為東華三院文物館和東華三院何超蕸檔案及文物中心,以及24個提供殯葬及廟祀服務的公共服務單位及重點計劃。
