Community Support Services

“Healthy Ageing” and “Ageing in Place” are the main concerns of our community support services. We encourage elders to develop healthy and balanced life, make good use of their leisure time, and participate actively in different activities to develop their potentials to the fullest. Besides, to actualize the concept of “Ageing in Place”, we provide home care services, nursing and rehabilitation services to assist the needy elders and their families living in the community. With 45 different types of community support services centres, we strive to provide a wide spectrum of quality services to our elders.

Residential Services

"Holistic Care" and "Continuum of Care" are the key focus of our residential care services. Through different types of residential care service which run by our 25 elderly homes and multi-disciplinary staff teams, we provide quality and comprehensive care and rehabilitation services to those elders in need to enable them to enjoy their old age.

東華三院首間護老者支援中心—亮然坊開幕禮
關注護老者全人健康 照顧之路可走更遠


（香港，2024年8月31日）根據2021年政府統計處人口普查數據，本港護老者數目達23萬，當中有不少以老護老的情況。為響應政府對護老者的關注及回應社會需要，東華三院首間護老者支援中心—亮然坊，已於2023年10月1日起開展服務，新中心亦於2024年5月2日正式對外開放。中心位於九龍大角咀通州街135-137號明德中心，總面積達3,024平方呎，設有健體閣、治療區、面談室及療癒室等，中心亦備有先進復康運動器材及物理治療儀器，以滿足護老者不同的服務需要。

承蒙善長紀研設計有限公司董事Mr. Andy Chan慷慨贊助兩層中心的裝修工程及港幣150萬元購置中心傢俱及設備，為護老者提供一個時尚與舒適兼備的環境。亮然坊開幕禮已於昨天（2024年8月30日）順利舉行，典禮邀得民政及青年事務局局長麥美娟SBS太平紳士、香港中華出入口商會會長貝鈞奇先生SBS, BBS, MH、善長紀研設計有限公司董事Mr. Andy Chan、本院主席鄧明慧女士、副主席曾慶業先生、副主席伍怡先生及副主席李曠怡先生蒞臨主禮。Mr. Andy Chan於典禮上亦再次捐款港幣100萬元支持東華三院亮然坊的服務發展。

為了有效支援護老者，中心提供不同服務及計劃來關顧護老者的全人健康。在健康層面上，服務會針對護老者於照顧長者的過程中所導致的肩膊肌肉勞損及痛症等問題，提供先進的健身運動器材及專業的治療服務。物理治療師會為護老者進行肌肉勞損評估，並根據評估結果設計個人化的治療計劃，加強其肌肉韌度及關節活動範圍，從而減輕護老者的疼痛感，使他們在照顧長者的路上走得更遠。

此外，亮然坊專業的營養諮詢服務和睡眠質素改善計劃，亦有助護老者更加關注健康、維持體力及增強免疫系統。當護老者照顧患有認知障礙症的長者時，常因擔憂長者遊走行為而需要進行24小時的緊密照顧，影響睡眠質素。有鑑於此，中心制定了睡眠質素改善計劃，旨在幫助護老者改善睡眠，使他們可以好好休息。另外，中心會為護老者提供「生活規劃」服務，與他們共同制定照顧長者及自己的作息時間表，以及轉介合適服務，協助他們建立健康生活方式。

在硬件配套方面，中心亦特意設立了一個專為護老者而設的療癒室，護老者進入療癒室後可以於平板電腦中選擇喜歡的療癒模式，療癒活動以「SELFCARE」作為主題，包括：「S–Sleep & Mindfulness（小休及靜觀）」、「E–Exercise（運動）」、「L–Listen to music（療癒音樂）」、「F–Funny game（遊戲）」、「C–Connect your heart（心靈療癒卡牌活動）」、「A–Art and DIY activity（DIY）」、「R–Reading（閱讀）」及「E–Enjoy the time with movie（電影欣賞）」。個性化的療癒體驗更符合每位護老者的個人需要和偏好，亦幫助他們在亮然坊放鬆休息，稍為歇息一下。

為了善用地區資源及網絡，中心連結本院轄下的社區照顧服務單位，包括長者地區中心、長者鄰舍中心、年輕長者中心、長者日間護理中心及綜合家居照顧服務等服務，從而協助護老者接受適切服務，長遠跟進護老者及長者的需要。
