Community Support Services
“Healthy Ageing” and “Ageing in Place” are the main concerns of our community support services. We encourage elders to develop healthy and balanced life, make good use of their leisure time, and participate actively in different activities to develop their potentials to the fullest. Besides, to actualize the concept of “Ageing in Place”, we provide home care services, nursing and rehabilitation services to assist the needy elders and their families living in the community. With 45 different types of community support services centres, we strive to provide a wide spectrum of quality services to our elders.

Residential Services
"Holistic Care" and "Continuum of Care" are the key focus of our residential care services. Through different types of residential care service which run by our 25 elderly homes and multi-disciplinary staff teams, we provide quality and comprehensive care and rehabilitation services to those elders in need to enable them to enjoy their old age.

東華三院滙聚耆情友伴計劃支持「老友記」走出社區 提倡積極晚年生活
由東華三院與滙豐合辦、攜手扶弱基金資助的「『滙』聚耆情友伴計劃」於五月十二日舉行了新一輪計劃的啟動禮，計劃製造了機會予超過五百名「老友記」走出社區，更與義工友伴成為好朋友。啟動禮邀請了香港上海滙豐保險(亞洲)有限公司香港保險業務董事總經理孟學燊及東華三院社會服務總主任姚子樑，及社會福利署攜手扶弱基金諮詢委員會委員梁永義蒞臨主禮。
東華三院與滙豐是多年的合作伙伴，合作建基於關顧弱勢社群的共同理念。二００八年，兩所機構再度攜手，成就了「『滙』聚耆情友伴計劃」，透過滙豐義工以一對一的方式，定期探訪社區上的無依長者，鼓勵他們走出社區，與義工建立互愛互助的友伴關係。
計劃自推出以來，深受長者歡迎，更獲社會福利署頒發「最佳企業義工計劃」2009-2010年度「優異獎」，成績卓越。新一輪的計劃更具規模，內容亦更豐富。由於計劃得到企業伙伴的贊助，義工除透過定期家訪或以電話問候長者友伴外，更會與「老友記」一同參與各式各樣的活動，包括光輝歲月「平治」遊、節日歡聚在「美心」、以及午宴在「凱悅」等。
東華三院社會服務總主任姚子樑於儀式上指出：「東華三院本着『凝聚社會資本．服務社群』的目標，自二０００年起，已積極推動社會各界參與義工服務。工商企業對社會的貢獻並不限於金錢上的捐贈，更難能可貴的是企業所貢獻的專業知識和技能。過去數年，東華三院與義工團體合作為弱勢社群提供幫助，積極推動企業履行社會責任，貢獻社會。」
滙豐保險香港保險業務董事總經理孟學燊表示：「擴闊長者的社交圈子可以使他們的黃金歲月過得更充實和精彩。『滙』聚耆情友伴計劃為長者提供支援，同時提倡積極、健康的晚年生活，滙豐十分樂意再度支持。在捐款以外，我很高興滙豐的員工和他們的家人更身體力行，成為義工，自計劃推出至今，服務時數已逾5,000小時。」
典禮當日，滙豐義工與其長者友伴在台上接受大會訪問，長者陳婆婆和陳伯伯表示滙豐義工經常探訪他們，減少他們生活的孤獨感，亦讓他們感到人間有愛。另外，滙豐義工分享感受時，也表示計劃讓他們真正了解長者的需要，而長者積極的生活態度也為他們帶來更多人生啟發。
當日參與啟動禮的支持合作伙伴包括香港沙田凱悅酒店、仁孚行有限公司、美心集團和冠忠巴士集團。
東華三院自1870年成立以來，一直秉承「救病拯危、安老復康、興學育才、扶幼導青」的使命和承諾，時至今日，已發展成為全港歷史最悠久及規模最大的慈善服務機構。在過去百多年，東華的醫療、教育及社會服務均有長足發展，迎合社會需求，為市民提供收費低廉或免費的優質服務。現時東華三院共有247個服務單位，包括5間醫院、25個中西醫療衞生服務單位；51個教育服務單位及165個社會服務單位，涵蓋安老、兒童及青少年、復康及公共服務；另東華三院文物館負責宣揚東華歷史、修復和保存機構檔案以推動保護文化遺產的工作。
