History

With an ever-increasing demand from our senior citizens for day care service, the Day Care Centre for the Elderly was established in March 1995 to serve the needy elderly. Tung Wah is very fortunate to have received a generous donation of one million dollars from Miss Anita Mui in support of the capital cost of the Centre. In recognition of Miss Mui's benevolence, the centre is named as "Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Anita Mui Day Care Centre for the Elderly".

Objective

The Centre aims to enable elders living in Central & Western / Islands District, who are in weak health or suffering from functional disabilities, to remain in the community by providing nursing, rehabilitation, social and personal care services during the day time. We pledge to ensure that our clients will enjoy a dignified and happy old age through our services.

Facilities

The air-conditioned premises consist of dining room, sitting room, exercise corner, nurse duty room, resource library, batheroom, pantry and laundry room.
