History
Jockey Club Tsin Cheung Day Activity Centre cum Hostel, one of the service centres under the management of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex, commenced operation in February 1999.
Objective

Jockey Club Tsin Cheung Day Activity Centre (also named as World of Merrylope) is an Extended Care Unit, providing holistic and quality retired life for ageing persons with intellectually disabled. The home will take care of their physical, mental, social and spiritual needs, so that they can lead a satisfying and healthy ageing life.

To strengthen their independent living skills and enhance their quality of life, achieving the concept of integration and sharing the caregiving responsibility with their families.
Facilities
The centre occupies a total floor area of 1350 sq. m. and is fully air-conditioned. There are 9 dormitories which are self-contained with toilets and bathrooms. Common facilities include activity room, family reunion room, Occupational Therapy room, Physiotherapy room, living room and dining room. Our residents can also use communal facilities including the multi-purpose hall, central kitchen, car pool, tuck shop and kiosk. Individuals in need can use the central hydro-pool.
Service Recipients
- People with low moderate to severe intellectual disability, mainly are aged 50 or above.
