Daily living skills training

Guided by the principles of functional utility, age appropriateness and community integration, individualized programme plans are developed for every trainee on the following areas:

  • Personal Management : the training of basic daily living skills
  • Work: vocational programmes such as packaging and self-employed remunerative activities in making handicrafts, planting herb.
  • Leisure: hobbies and recreational activities

Special Service Features:

Families Work : In addition to keeping close contact with families of trainees, we actively promote mutual help among different families through visiting those aged, frail or sick members or escorting trainees to have home visit and family gathering.

Build up long-term and good volunteer network : Some buddies have developed close relationship and friendship with our trainees.

Develop trainees' multi- interest : special groups like organic farming, cheering team, photography and outdoor orienteering and performing arts are organized to cultivate their different potentials.

Provide diversified job training workshop or groups to fulfill members' need

Recruit students, housewives, staff, etc joining volunteer work to widen members' horizon and interactions with different social groups.

Work closely with family of members to promote mutual help concept among families.

Family work

The Centre works closely with the families to establish and maintain relationship between trainees and families. Family programmes and activities such as group meetings, forums, individualized programme plan meetings, social gatherings are regularly organized. Home leaves and family visits are encouraged to strengthen family networks.

Health care service

Daily health care, regular body checks, medical follow-up, drug administration, visiting medical service, etc., are provided.

Physiotherapy and occupational therapy service

Residential and Meal Service

The Centre provides accommodation with nutritious and wholesome meals.

Counseling service

Counseling is offered with respect to the social and emotional needs of the trainees.

Social and recreational programmes

A variety of social and recreational activities, such as outings, visits, parties, interest groups and community events are organized to encourage participants to spend leisure time meaningfully while enriching life experience.
