History

Lee Yen & Lee Yuk Lun, BBS, JP, Father & Son Lohas Villa commenced operation on 31 January 2018, is the first Supported Hostel of Tung Wah to provide group home living for people with disabilities who are capable of semi-independent living. In recognition of a generous donation of HK$ 4 million from Dr. Lee Yuk Lun, BBS, JP, towards the Rehabilitation Service, the Board of Directors named this Supported Hostel as "Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Lee Yen & Lee Yuk Lun, BBS, JP, Father & Son Lohas Villa".

Objective

Through daily guidance and supervision, formulation and implementation of individual plan of the residents, individual and group counselling and training, the Hostel aims to promote the life quality of residents, maximize their potentials, enhance their independent living skills and facilitate their integration into the community.

Facilities

The Hostel is about 525 square meters in area, consisting of 7 bedrooms with each accommodating 3 to 6 residents. Each bedroom is provided with toilet and shower room. Other facilities include dining room, kitchen, laundry, sick room, multi-purpose room, interview room, small group room, band room, fitness corner, green corner and computer activity corner.

Service Recipients

Persons with intellectual / physical disability who are:

  • aged 15 or above;
  • capable of semi-independent living i.e. mastery of self-care skills but may need a fair amount of guidance/assistance in some domestic tasks like cooking or washing; or in community living activities like shopping;
  • actively occupied in various forms of employment or day training;
  • physically and mentally suitable for group living; and
  • physically healthy with no active infectious disease, drug or alcoholic abuse.
