History
TN Residence is the subsidized project under “Youth Hostel Scheme – Subsidy Scheme for Using Hotels and Guesthouses as Youth Hostels” by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, and it is commenced in June 2025. Located at 280 Tung Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, the youth hostel provides comfortable accommodation for eligible applicants, equipped with basic furniture, appliances, and comprehensive clubhouse facilities. Some units are pet-friendly, allowing youth tenants to live together with their pets. The project incorporates the concept of “vertical youth community”, enabling youth not only to enjoy their own living space but also to build a supportive social network and enhance community participation – ultimately fostering a connected lifestyle.
Objectives
- To fulfill youth’s need for independent living space and improve their living environment
- To encourage youth to interact with others establishing social network; and
- To facilitate youth’s personal development, cultivate physical and mental wellness and foster proper values through value-added activities and services
