History

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Hui Yeung Shing Centre for Family Wellness and Child Development was established in grateful appreciation of a generous legacy donation from the late Mr. Hui Siu Wing. The centre was established to further develop the potentials and improve the social and emotional behaviors of children in need. Our multi-disciplinary team is dedicated to provide holistic services that empower children aged 2-12 and support their families.

Our services include training for children aged 2-12 suspected of having or diagnosed with Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as sensory integration training, concentration training, speech therapy, child development training, clinical counseling, assessment by psychologists, parent support groups, and parent-child workshops, etc. The centre is well equipped with a team of multi-disciplinary professionals, we endeavor to provide high quality services to empower children and support their families in the community

Objectives

  • To capitalize on the “golden period” of development by providing children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) with timely and appropriate therapeutic interventions, thereby enhancing their learning potential and fostering positive social and emotional behaviors
  • To support families of children suspected of having or diagnosed with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by effectively connecting them with relevant community resources

Facilities

  • The centre has multiple specialized facilities, including Speech Therapy Room, Occupational Therapy Room, Physical Therapy Room, Three Multi-functional Training Rooms, and an Open Area with Montessori Classroom Elements
  • The total gross floor area is 1,913 square feet
