History
Compared to other addiction issues such as smoking, gambling or drug abuse, the problems of alcohol abuse in Hong Kong seem to receive inadequate attention. Established in 2005, the service is currently funded by the Department of Health and the Beat Drugs Fund, providing professional and comprehensive assessment, treatment, counselling and support services for individuals affected by alcohol addiction problems.
Objectives
- "Stay Sober Stay Free" Alcohol Counselling Centre aims at providing counselling and assistance to people with drinking problems with a target to assist them to reduce or to abstain from alcohol abuse.
- The Centre is also committed to assist the public in establishing a healthy lifestyle, avoiding harmful drinking habits and understanding alcohol's impacts on their physical health, social life and mental well-being through community education, talks, workshops, professional training and counselling.

- Hong Kong Resident, if the applicant is under 18, a written consent by a parent or legal guardian is required
