Service features

Professional addiction counseling

• Since its establishment in 2012, the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ICAPT Centre has specialized in dealing with various addiction problems, such as internet addiction, excessive consumption, sexual addiction, gambling addiction, etc., accumulating rich local experience in counseling addicted individuals and supporting their families. Over the years, we have conducted continuous evidence-based research on addiction counseling, setting the service level standards for Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region.

Continuous innovation, Providing diverse counseling interventions

• In addiction case services, the ICAPT Centre has established different counseling approaches to meet the needs of help-seekers, including the use of Single Session Therapy, video counseling, and online self-help counseling programs. In recent years, we have introduced mindfulness therapy, exercise intervention, and expressive arts therapy, among other approaches, to diversify our support for addicted individuals and caregivers to rebuild healthy lives.

• In addition to individual counseling, the treatment model of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ICAPT Centre also includes family therapy, group support, interest development, and employment counseling, helping individuals achieve holistic recovery and regain healthy lives.

Providing internationally recognized professional training courses

• The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals ICAPT Centre is recognized by the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) in the United States as a certified addiction counseling training center, providing "Certified Addiction Counselor" training for industry colleagues.
