History

Smiling HeART sells handcrafted items that made by individuals in recovery from mental illness, particularly women dealing with depression. The initiative aims to promote social inclusion and raise public awareness about mental health.

The story of Smiling HeART began with a group of women experiencing emotional distress. Determined to overcome their struggles and regain confidence through crafting, these ordinary housewives faced various pressures that contributed to their depression. Each day, they confronted significant emotional challenges and dealt with pervasive social discrimination Remarkably, the act of creating handcrafted items provided them with a comfort zone. Through stitching and crafting, they not only found inner peace but also rebuild their self-confidence.

The products embody the “HeART” of this group of women. Each handcrafted item represents their determination and courage in the face of adversity, as well as their blessings and encouragement for others.
