History

The “TWGHs E-Co Village” is Hong Kong's first environmental education campsite established on a revitalized landfill. Founded on the principle of "Transforming Waste into Energy," it aims to create a sustainable and eco-friendly community, enabling individuals of all ages to learn and experience a green, low-carbon lifestyle while enjoying themselves.

Objectives

  • Environmental: To respect, protect and preserve our environment.
  • Educational: To educate our younger generation, including children and youth, as well as families, about Health, Sustainable and Eco responsible living.
  • Experiential: To provide an eco-friendly living and learning experience for children, youth and families.

Facilities

The E-Co Village comprises two platforms, covering approximately two hectares. It features a camping area, organic farming area, kinetic children's playground, heart-shaped lawns and energy-saving facilities, suitable for various indoor and outdoor activities.
