Emergency / Short-term Care in Small Group Home

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals commenced the small group home service since 1993. The 11 small group homes located at Chai Wan, Yau Tong and Tsz Wan Shan respectively providing residential placements to children who lack of appropriate family care. The service mission is to protect and advocate children welfare, and to provide them with holistic care and quality counseling service.

To provide emergency and short-term out-of-home care for children who cannot be adequately cared for by their families due to various family problems or crises.

Every child in our homes will have their own bed, cabinet, desk and a locker. Our homes provide age appropriate books, toys and computer for children's learning. Besides, play therapy room has been set up for children in need.

Aged between 4 and 18* whose families face emergency or crisis situation and cannot provide them with adequate care

*Ordinary small group home admits boys aged 4-12 and girls aged 4-18, whereas single-sex small group home admits boys aged 4-18
