History

Currently, people aged 50 to 59 persons cannot get any preventive service from subvented elderly services to suspend their degeneration because they are not deprived in economy, mobility and social support. Although more and more services are provided by Government and NGOs to cater the need of elders with Dementia and their carers, community education to arouse public awareness on Dementia and to delay their onset of Dementia is neglected.

YO Centre does not only promote “Health Management” for health enhancing, but also provides “Life-long Learning” to equip people aged from 50 to 65 (young old) with “new” in our high technical society and to gather them with common hobbies. Also, “Volunteer Team for Community Education of Dementia” will be set up for young old who tend to contribute and serve the community after their relevant volunteer training.
