History
Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Tai Po Day Nursery commenced operation on 26 October 1984 to provide care and educational srvices for young children. It was renamed Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Lai Ming Day Nursery on 4 February 1994 after a donation from Fong Shu Fook Tong Charitable Foundation. With the implementation of Harmonization of Pre-primary Services, it was registered under Education Bureau as Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centre, namely Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Lai Ming Nursery School, with effect from 1 September 2005.
Objective

To provide a safe and caring environment where professional and trained teaching staff carefully nurture and educate children, enabling them to grow actively and healthily.

To promote the holistic development of children in areas such as social skills, intelligence, physical abilities, emotional well-being, aesthetic appreciation, and creativity.

To provide parent education services, assisting families in addressing the challenges of raising and caring for young children, enabling parents to work with peace of mind, and collaborating with parents to support children's growth.

To cultivate good living habits, a love for learning, and self-care skills in children.
Facilities
The nursery school has floor area of around 375 sq. m.. With spacious set up, there are activity rooms, music room, kitchen, children toilet, staff offices etc. Furthermore, outdoor physical activities such as bicycling, ball games, sand play, planting, etc. are provided on the roof of hte Community Centre.
To arouse children's interest and potential of learning, activity rooms were designed to comprise a diversity of learning corners. These include corners for reading and writing, exploration and science activities, art and crafts, dramatic play, construction play and learning information technology, etc.
