Fong Shu Chuen Nursery School

History

The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Fong Shu Chuen Nursery School has provided child day care service and child education service for children aged 2 to 6 in Eastern District since September 1990.

Objective

• To provide a safe and caring environment where professional and trained teaching staff carefully nurture and educate children, enabling them to grow actively and healthily.
• To provide parent education services, assisting families in addressing the challenges of raising and caring for young children, enabling parents to work with peace of mind, and collaborating with parents to support children's growth.
• To cultivate good living habits, a love for learning, and self-care skills in children.
• To promote the holistic development of children in areas such as social skills, intelligence, physical abilities, emotional well-being, aesthetic appreciation, and creativity.

Facilities

The nursery school has floor area of around 340 sq. m., which includes 3 activities rooms, indoor playground, music room, kid's lavatory, supervisor room, staff room, kitchen, laundry and store room etc.

Each activity room provides a diversity of age-appropriate learning corners, such as dramatic play, reading and writing, art and crafts, constructive play, computer programme, sand and water, etc.

Service Recipients

• Children aged 2 - 6
• Priority placement would be granted to families with social needs referred by Social Welfare Department.
