History
Butterfuly Day Nursery commenced operation in 1986 to provide child day care and educational services in Tuen Mun District. It was renamed Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Tin Ka Ping Day Nursery in March 1995, after a donation from Mr. Tin Ka-ping, M.B.E. in support of its service development. With the implementation of Harmonization of Pre-primary Services, it was registered under Education Bureau as Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centre, namely Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Tin Ka Ping Nursery School, with effect from 1 September 2005.
Objective

To provide safe and enriching environment for children's learning and development by well-trained child care staff

To foster good daily habits of young children and self-care ability

To foster development of children's social, intellectual, emotional, language, arts and creative and physical abilities

To advise parents/ carers on child care and rearing related matters
Facilities
The nursery school has floor area of around 646 sq. m.. There are 6 activity rooms, indoor big muscle playground, music room, kitchen, children's toilet, supervisor room and staff offices etc.
Each activity room provides a diversity of age-appropriate learning corners for dramatic play, reading and writing, art and crafts, exploration and science activities, constructive play, computer programme, sand and water play, etc.

Priority placement would be granted to families with social needs referred by Social Welfare Department. |
